Coming Events
Pitch the Tech Coast Angels

Tuesday, August 9th from 4pm to 6pm
Corona City Hall, 400 S. Vicentia, Corona

See how entrepreneurs pitch angel investors, what works, what doesn't and what our local Angels think about each pitch. Tuesday, August 9th at the Corona City Hall Council Chambers, eight lucky entrepreneurs are going to get the chance to pitch the Inland Empire chapter of the Tech Coast Angels.

Each company gets eight minutes to present their business model and value proposition. Each pitch is followed by up to ten minutes of questions and feedback from the Angels. At the end of the event, the Angels will provide a general commentary, telling us who they liked and why.

If you ever plan on getting funding from outside investors, you can't afford to miss this event. You will get the kind of insight and experience that money can't buy. And it's free! Just pre-register to attend here - it's bound to fill up! Last year we had a full house and we expect the same again this year.

Personalized Medicine Summit

August 10-12 in San Diego

The Precision Medicine Leaders Summit will be a first of its kind gathering of the finest minds in the Precision Medicine field. Many Precision Medicine projects are in motion around the globe and are gaining real momentum. The objectives are varied but they all share one central theme to be able to predict and diagnose diseases more precisely, matching the right therapeutic more efficiently and more cost effectively.

The real challenge we face is in the implementation, given the fragmented nature of healthcare systems globally, how are we able to adjust to this paradigm shift to ensure collective benefit for all participants?

The conference aims to capitalize on the collective wisdom of speakers and delegates alike, encouraging open and candid discussions, which will give way to novel ideas and concepts that can help us search for new ways to circumvent the obstacles that currently stymie progress.

The conference will encourage all of us as participants to enter into partnerships with varied stakeholders and challenge the status quo, fostering more transparency in order to find solutions that will ultimately advance this dynamic field and result in improved patient outcomes.

Yours truly will be moderating an investor roundtable discussion focused on how we can best fund the many initiatives that deserve investment to make personalized precision medicine a reality. If you would like to attend, you can get a 20% discount on attendance fees by entering GOTH in the discount code box. Click here for more information and to register.

Come to our weekly 1 Million Cups Riverside event every Wed morning from 9 am to 10 am. at Back to the Grind in downtown Riverside! Doors open and the coffee starts flowing at 8:30 am.

Two companies come in and tell us what they are up to, and our startup community figures out how we can all pitch in and get them to the next level. This is a great way to spend a Wednesday morning, meeting new friends and fellow entrepreneurs while helping other startups come up with new strategies and resources.

If you haven't been to Back to the Grind yet, you have been missing out! It's a great eclectic coffeehouse located at 3575 University Avenue. The picture is of the downstairs area where we will be holding our events. Pick up a cup of free coffee upstairs, courtesy of Darren and Back to the Grind, then come downstairs to join the fun. Every week is a new experience! Click here to let us know you are coming, or you can apply to present at our next 1MC event.

We have had an awesome start to our "open coffee" concept at the Murrieta Innovation Center! Last week lasted until almost 1 pm, as everyone was having such a great time that it was hard to leave. We had inventors showing off some cool new gadgets, entrepreneurs sharing their stories, Michael Fisher from SCORE, Denis from YES Place, software developers, a computer technician, a couple of mechanical engineers, a funding source... all of us entrepreneurs at heart and happy to share and learn. It's an amazing evolution!

Everyone is invited to join us every Saturday morning from 9 am to noon. We'll have the coffee, you bring your stories and enthusiasm! We are at the Murrieta Innovation Center, 26442 Beckman Court in Murrieta. Saturday morning is time for Kasual Koffee!
